This impressive development project was located off Church Road in Ramsden Heath, Chelmsford, on the site of a former commercial livery yard. The land was successfully redeveloped to accommodate a new build residential scheme. The GA team was responsible for delivering comprehensive architectural design and detailed construction documentation, supporting the project from concept through to completion.

The Moorings

This residential-led mixed use scheme has created a much sought after development within the in the heart of Garstang. The project was completed in 2008 and the designs have proven timeless, complementing the site’s unique topography and picturesque canal basin setting. Alongside the residential dwellings and apartments, the project also included delivery of the award-winning Wyrebank function space. The Moorings has created beautiful spaces through carefully designed built infrastructure and we are delighted with the end result that enhances Garstang’s built tapestry.

Former Church Inn

Working on sites that are symbolic to the history of a community always creates numerous challenges and opportunities. The Church Inn project in Garstang was no different, with the former pub no longer commercially viable the aim was to secure the longevity of this iconic building, while maximising the potential for the client and host community. The resultant project has seen the key characteristics of the site retained, including the re-exposure of the original stonework, while delivering 11 dwellings from the building and surrounding land. We are delighted with the development that enhances the local vernacular and provides high quality family homes.
